Clean with warm water or mild wipes to prevent rashes.

Keep the cord stump clean and dry.
Do not cover it with tight clothes or diapers.
It usually falls off within 1–2 weeks.
Newborns sleep around 14–17 hours a day.

Keep the crib free from toys, pillows, or loose blankets.
Follow the immunization schedule starting from birth (e.g., BCG, Hepatitis B, OPV).
Keep a vaccination record card.

Keep the room temperature between 24–26°C.
Dress your baby in soft cotton layers.
Avoid overheating; touch baby’s chest to check warmth.
Skin-to-skin contact boosts bonding and breastfeeding success.
Talk, sing, and make eye contact to stimulate brain development.
Gentle massages can help relax the baby and improve circulation.
Seek medical help if your baby has:
Fever above 100.4°F (38°C)
Refusal to feed or frequent vomiting
Unusual crying or lethargy
Yellowing of eyes/skin (jaundice beyond normal levels)
Breathing difficulty or bluish skin
